The New Hope Church in Hazard offers the Angel Food Ministry. This ministry provides food once a month at a low price for anyone.The church is asking local pastors to buy boxes of food for those that need it in their communities. The church also operates a food pantry which you can learn more about on their website.The church asks that referrals for the food pantry come from local pastors. The church asks that if you wish to donate food to the food pantry that you do it in bulk donations, such as cases of items not just individual items. The church also works with the backpack program in the Hazard City Schools.

The Family First Ministry,located at Tribbey, Kentucky,gives out food boxes on a monthly basis through KRCC and local churches. David Lickliter is the contact person for Family First Ministry.They are also making food bags once a week for the LKLP Headstart in Hazard. The Master's Lamb Ministry serves the people of Hazard/Perry county with babies from birth to age 3. The baby pantry has a variety of things to help families raise their babies. They are located in Allais next to the Hazard Community Technical College. The hours of operation are Tuesday 9-2 and Friday 12-5. the phone number is 436-0617. They accept donations of clothing up to size 5 and supplies that a baby 0-3 can use.

The Perry County School System offers the Backpack Program. This is a program where nutritious food is sent home with deserving students on Friday evening in a backpack. The Resource Director at each school determines who needs the food. The program is under the direction of Harvey Colwell.. His office is located at the Perry County Schools Central Office.
